Top 5” Mistakes Buyers Make

OVER BORROWING:

Financial stress can be horrific so be cautious when buying.  Ask yourself:
“What if interest rates rise”?

“Play it safe, don’t borrow to your maximum limit and keep loan payments three months in advance”.

FAILING TO RESEARCH:

It’s too late to check once you’ve bought it!
Make sure you have found the right one by "Doing your homework":
Having at least two inspections also checking the neighbours and the area
“Don’t ignore your instincts, if it “feels right” it probably is, but also “do your homework”.

PROFESSIONAL INSPECTIONS:

Peace of mind is priceless
You love the house, but is anything “not right” behind the cute façade?
“Always have an independent building and pest inspection clause included in your purchase.  It’s better to be safe than sorry later.”

“FRIEND PHOBIA”:

Your biggest asset or biggest liability?
Your friends and relatives may have your best interests at heart but it’s your house not theirs.
“Be wary of well meaning friends and relatives.  Listen to their advice but make your own decisions”.
